Stampede announced a 10-million-pound oven expansion at its DL Lee & Sons, Inc. facility. This capacity growth comes on the heels of the partnership with DL Lee, announced earlier this year. That partnership, along with Stampede’s existing capacity, helped name Stampede the largest sous vide cook manufacturer in North America, according to the company. It produces sous vide meat, meat substitutes, sides and soup.
Stampede anticipates additional sous vide growth in its Canadian facility.
Stampede announced it is installing an oven with a 10 million lb. capacity at its Alma, Ga., DL Lee & Sons processing plant, supplementing the company’s sous vide-cooked meats production capabilities.
The investment comes three months after Stampede announced the acquisition of DL Lee & Sons Inc., making it the largest capacity sous vide processor in North America, according to the company. Stampede officials say the installation at the Alma plant will be completed this month, adding that it plans to also expand capacity for its sous vide production at its Ontario, Canada, plant later this year.
Stampede announces its new partnership with DL Lee & Sons, Inc. This collaboration will allow for Stampede to expand its geographic production footprint into the southeast. The company’s expansion outside of midwestern U.S., first began back in 2018 when they announced their grand opening of their southwest Sunland Park, New Mexico facility. During 2021, Stampede also expanded its footprint by opening Stampede North, a facility in Cambridge, Ontario Canada.
The newest facility in Stampede’s portfolio resides in Bacon County, GA and was rebuilt in 1992 after a fire at the previous building. The plant boasts 155,000 sq ft., housing smoke and sous vide ovens that can support over 80 million pounds of capacity annually. This partnership has brought Stampede to have the largest Sous Vide cook capacity in North America. “It’s very rewarding to see just how far we have come in four short years since we decided to expand outside of Illinois. As we continue to see demand accelerate for Sous Vide cooked products at both Retail and Food Service customers this partnership positions Stampede to immediately address these opportunities for our valued customers.” Stampede COO Vito Giustino said. A little healthy competition among coworkers works to motivate one another and it’s an added bonus when the team is working together towards a shared goal – raising funds to support a nonprofit organization. And that’s exactly what 40 Stampede team members did this past month. They biked, ran and walked as many miles as they could to raise money for Metropolitan Family Services.
Coffee is an integral part of most people’s daily routine; Americans drink 400 million cups per day in some form or another. Numerous coffee drinks have become more common and go beyond just adding cream or sugar. Espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha, cold brew, this is just scratching the surface and not even touching on different roasts, beans, and other variables that produce a different cup of coffee. What you can do with coffee in a cup seems endless, but what about beyond the cup?
